These are some suggestions of what you may WANT TO INCLUDE in your postings:

o Be honest.
o Be mindful. Poor spelling and grammar usually result in a useless rating.
o Keep it professional. Comment on the professor’s abilities. Try not to get personal.
o Be reasonable. The best ratings are logical, measurable, and objective.

Please do NOT INCLUDE these in your rating. Your rating will be removed   immediately if   any of these elements are included:

o Threaten to kill or harm your professor. Not only will the rating be deleted, but we will notify    the authorities of your IP address and the time you rated.
o Talk about your professor’s sex life. This includes:
  - Claiming that the professor sleeps with students, even if he or she has slept with you.
  - Claiming you know their sexual identity.
o Direct racist, sexist, homophobic, or other derogatory remarks at your professor.
o Use vulgar language. You are in college; do not use words you wouldn’t use in front of your    grandparents. Vulgar or abusive language in you posting will result in your posting being    removed immediately.
o Post ratings for people who do not teach classes at your school.
o Criticize the way a professor looks or dresses. Appearances have little to do with a    professor’s ability to teach the material.
o Use the comment area to talk about irrelevant subjects like the football team; comments    should be pertinent to the class and/or the professor who teaches the class.
o Include sexual innuendo in your comment.
o Put an e-mail address into your comment.
o Include a URL to a webpage or website, unless it is relevant to the class.
o Claim that the professor has been or will be fired.
o Rate a professor more than once for the same class.
o Write your comments in any language other than English.

These guidelines will be enforced, and violations will result in either the rating’s comment being removed, or the entire rating being deleted. If you see a rating that you believe violates one of these guidelines, please click the link below it and state the problem. It will be revaluated. If no flag is available, it means that the rating has been flagged and re-approved. Please do not flag a rating just because you disagree with it. Doing so is a waste of your time and ours.
